Kerim Chitour, MD

Kerim Chitour, MD, Senior Vice President, Clinical Development, brings more than 25 years of international experience in pharmaceutical and biotechnology clinical development, operations, team building, and partnership management.

Before joining ILiAD, Kerim served as Global Head of Clinical for PATH's Center for Vaccine Innovation and Access (CVIA), providing scientific and technical leadership for clinical development and pharmacovigilance across the PATH CVIA portfolio. Prior to that, he held leadership roles at Takeda Pharmaceuticals' Vaccines Business Unit, including Global Program Leader for the company's Sabin inactivated poliovirus vaccine.

Earlier, Kerim held several leadership positions at Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, including Chief Medical Officer for the Middle East and Africa, where he established and led the vaccines clinical development group in South Africa and Malawi. He began his career with roles of increasing seniority at SmithKline Beecham Biologicals — leading clinical development of the company's MMR, Varicella, and MMR-V vaccines — as well as at Wyeth Vaccines, Chiron Vaccines, and Maxygen.
