Mark Melton is Senior Director and Head of Global Clinical Supply and Sample Operations, bringing more than 15 years of experience across biotech, CROs, clinical research sites, and academia. Trained as a biochemist and molecular biologist at the Brody School of Medicine, he built his foundation in precision medicine trials before transitioning to industry — where he has spent the past 12 years establishing himself as a subject matter expert in biomarkers, bioanalytical operations, biospecimen oversight, and lab data management.
Before joining ILIAD, Mark served as Vice President of Scientific Operations and Development at Slope and founded ClearPath Clinical Research. His work spans oncology, infectious disease, vaccines, and rare diseases, with a consistent record of building and leading high-performing global teams at the intersection of biomarker science and clinical data management.
